I am proud and excited to announce that “Ice in the Jungle” has been awarded with the Silver Medal of the Moonbeam Children’s Book Award.
Ice in the Jungle is nominated for The Peoples Book Prize.
This is a wonderful honour and I am very happy about it. If you like Ice and her story, why not vote for her so more children get to read about her adventure.
Who cares about the rain and wind?
Last week I joined in to Daily Doodle, after some time off and they had members from the Adams Family as their topic.
Wednesday Adams was one of my favourite characters as a kid next to Pippi Longstocking. Here’s my interpretation of her.

Carolina Rabei and me had a wonderful time at Waterstones Cambridge this weekend, where we read, drew and signed for a captive audience. First we read our stories and then we showed the little ones how to draw our characters with charming results. I really enjoyed it and Waterstones Cambridge made us feel welcome and decorated the reading corner beautifully with drawings of Ice and Crunch. There are still signed copies available at the shop for people who couldn’t make it.
Many thanks also to Tom Attridge, who took these lovely photos.
Will you come and join me and Carolina Rabei this 4th of July at Waterstones in Cambridge?
We will read, sign and draw for you.
I had a fantastic time at the Kensington Central Library this weekend. The children enjoyed my story of “Ice in the Jungle” and we drew Ice and had some fun with activity sheets.
Contact me, if you’d like to have a similar event at your local library.
