MA Graduate Show 2014
Alright! It’s getting serious! In one week opens the Graduation Show of this year’s crop of MA Children’s Book Illustration students of the Cambridge School of Arts. It’s no ordinary grad show, it’s the tenth anniversary and the biggest one yet. For that reason it is no longer in the Foyles Gallery but in the big Candid Gallery in Islington. The preparation are running on full steam and everyone is very excited. I am so proud to be part of it, since I know that is is going to be fabulous! I don’t think there is any other show in London that accumulates so much illustration like this one. Most of the exhibits are unpublished, raw and beautiful picture books created by the students of the course accompanied by wonderfully creative displays. This is definitely a London arts event not to be missed. The success rate for graduates of this course is incredibly high and that’s why it’s reputation grows globally from year to year and the numbers increase. It started ten years ago with 8 graduates… this is year it will be an amazing 63!!! I have enjoyed the shows in the past and can’t wait to be part of it. Here are the photos of last year’s show. Please come if you can make it to London and bring kids along as they will love it! You won’t regret and will be charmed by beautifully illustrated stories and exquisite and delicious art!!! For a preview what you can expect have a look at the graduation website (and try to find me and tell me what you think :)): http://www.cambridgemashow.com/
